Lynne Truss is an English author, journalist, novelist, radio broadcaster, and dramatist known for her advocacy of correct and elegant English. She gained international recognition with Eats, Shoots & Leaves, inspired by her BBC Radio 4 program Cutting a Dash. Truss has also written radio plays, children's grammar guides, crime novels, and books about journalism and sports. A former literary editor and Times critic, she became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and joined the Detection Club in 2021.
